DELF and DALF tout public
The French National Ministry of Education and France Education International (former CIEP, International Centre fir Educational Studies) award official the French language qualifications: DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes de Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Frnaçaise), internationally recognized and valid for an unlimited period.
These degrees proves your level in the receptive (reading, listening) and the productive (writing, speaking) skills provided by the The Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFRL), for each of the 6 levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2).
The six diplomas are completly independent, so that you may directly register for the examination of your choice, according to your level. Notice, that you may take several diplomas during the same session.
The examinations can be taken in approved examination centres throughout the world, including France. (See the detailed list on France Education International).

TCF exam
The TCF exam (Test de Connaissance du Français) is a language test developped by the French Ministry of National Education designed for people over 16 whose first language is not French.
This test, recognized internationally, proves the candidate’s language skills in French at a given time.
The TCF result is valid for 2 years.
There are different versions of the TCF depending on the needs and the target audience, for instance, TCF tout public and TCF ANF.
TCF Tout public exam
The TCF tout public is for people who want to assess their level for academic, professional or personal reasons.
The exam consists of:
• 3 compulsory parts: oral comprehension, written comprehension and grammar;
• 2 optional parts: oral and written expression.
TCF ANF (Accès à la Nationalité Française) exam
The TCF ANF exam is for people who want to acquire French nationality.
The exam consists of 4 compulsory tests: oral and written comprehension as well as written and oral expression.
The certificate must attest to a minimum B1 level in the 4 skills.
